Hi all,
I just installed V. 2.0.1. If I click on “Manage Connection” I get the following error on facebook:
Error on managing Facebook Business Extension
Bitte richte zuerst die Erweiterung für Facebook Business ein, bevor du die Einstellungen verwaltest.Zurück zur Startseite
Also my store on facebook is broken now:

Cheers

Hi @bahijach
Thanks so much for the update and for providing that insight.
After uploading the data feed manually, are your products synced correctly now? Are you still having issues when clicking on the “Manage Connection” button?
Thanks,
ChristineHi
yes I just saw others had the same issue with the wrong currency when manually clicking on Sync Products, but i solved this.
Managing the Connection is still not possible.
Regards
maybe there is an issue with the link to the management of the connection, which currently looks like this (please hide the link):
I double checked the app id, which is correct, but I am not sure about the external business id. Is there a way where I can find the id?
Also my question is if I click on uninstall, which will reset the entire setup, what happens to the Products in the catalogue? as we already tagged products on instagram. I am scared that the ID is lost and those posts will not be able to find the products again?
Regards
Hi @bahijach
Thanks for the additional details!
If you click uninstall, your products will still be in your Facebook catalog and they should resync once reconnected.
There’s a way to check and also change your external business ID. Here’s how:
– Open your WordPress admin to: https://<site_url>/wp-admin/options.php
– Search for wc_facebook_external_business_id in the list, and double-check it against what you have in your linkCould you check that and please let me know what you find?
Thanks!
Christineok the business id was correct, as it is reading it from that field, I meant maybe it is wrongly saved but ok.
I clicked now uninstall and recreated the connection. Managing the connection works now, but I have another issue.
First of all there is a new WooCommerce Extension V2 System User (FBE) (1) User now. And even if I added my ads account while configuring it the Ad Manager Account in the overview is now empty. I then added it to the Woocommerce Extension V2 System user again in the FB Business Manager.
After that i tried to add it to options.php, which does not save my value. Also my Products are now synced in EUR, I am using the following currency switcher plugin: WOOCS – WooCommerce Currency Switcher
Regards
Hi @bahijach
Thanks so much for the updates and for your patience here!
Are you still have issues with your products being synced as EUR? I see from your shop that it’s francs now?
Regarding the system user, our plugin creates two system users during the setup process: The Partner Created System User and the WooCommerce Extension V2 System User (FBE). In your case, it looks like there’s a duplicate one and we’re aware that this happens sometimes. We’re working with Facebook to determine why the duplicate is happening and we’re still waiting on a confirmed answer for that. You can learn more about system users here: https://www.facebook.com/business/help/327596604689624?id=2190812977867143
For the Ad Manager Account being empty, are you referring to the WooCommerce dashboard? Like this? https://cloud.skyver.ge/nOukGA2o
Thanks!

Products are synced in EUR when I click on the Button “sync products”.
this is still an issue. Our Shop is now in CHF again, because I corrected it manually.Users
Regarding the users, I have now:
– The partner created system user
– Extension V2 System User (FBE) (1)
– Extension V2 System User (FBE)Ad Manager Account
Yes it looks exactly like in your Image.Hi @bahijach
Thanks for the details!
For the currency, can you confirm the default currency for your WooCommerce shop and Facebook catalog?
In WooCommerce, you can check that by going to WooCommerce > Settings > General and scroll down to Currency options.
In Facebook, please go to your catalog here: https://www.facebook.com/products/catalogs/1394178254305217/home
Then, navigate to Catalog > Data Sources > WooCommerce Products > Settings and check the currency. Here’s what that page looks like: https://cloud.skyver.ge/12urpepk
Could you please let me know if your default currency is set to CHF for both of the above? I’d appreciate it!
_____________
Regarding the users, the duplicate one shouldn’t have any affects on the functionality of the plugin though we’re still working with Facebook to determine why this is happening.
_____________
The Ad Manager Account is expected to display the dash as Facebook removed the option from set up process due to an issue. We’re still working with Facebook to determine when this would be added back in also. I wish I could give you clearer answers regarding this and the users, I’m sorry I can’t at this moment!
The ads are still managed in Facebook though, and you can check that by going to this link: https://business.facebook.com/settings/ad-accounts/682455532537399?business_id=4131738640177518
You should be able to see your ad accounts and who has access to it like this: https://cloud.skyver.ge/2NujdYRb
Does that help?
Thank you!

In WooCommerce, you can check that by going to WooCommerce > Settings > General and scroll down to Currency options.
-> Redirects me to the WOOCS – WooCommerce Currency Switcher v.1.3.2 where CHF is set as default. Then, navigate to Catalog > Data Sources > WooCommerce Products > Settings
-> Is set to CHF as wellAs I said, this only occures if I click on “Sync Products” from your Plugin manually.
You should be able to see your ad accounts and who has access to it like this:
-> I can confirm this thank youHi @bahijach
Thanks so much for confirming and for the additional details!
Since you’re using a currency switcher plugin, it looks like the store currency might be filtered by it. For some context, our plugin uses the WooCommerce function for retrieving the store currency, and because the sync is called from the server-side as a background task, sometimes multi-currency plugins can mess with this.
Since we’re not sure what filtering this plugin is doing, it’s best here to force the currency for all Facebook products to CHF.
One of our team members already had a custom code snippet that should do just that, so I’m happy to share it. However, please be aware of a couple notes:
– I’m afraid that customizations such as this are not covered under our support policy, so implementing this or modifying it isn’t something we can assist with.
– If you use custom snippets, please be sure you know how to add custom code to your site. You can view the snippet here: https://gist.github.com/simonporter007/ef6b08b71dbc4432b6af469aefc557b3#file-sv_fb_for_woocommerce_hardcode_currency_for_all_products-php
The snippet is currently set to ZAR, so please change it to CHF!
Could you try that and please let me know if there’s anything else I could help?
Thanks!
Christine
