• Hi Guys.

Basically I have edited a wp template that I downloaded, and added things like pages, html, menus, changed some ccs and some of the php. I have been using MAMP to do all this, with the localserver, and I was happy with my end result and it all worked fine.

I then moved the wp folder over to my hoster, and set up a new database. Upon checking the site, I was presented with the originial template I downloaded and a lack of the changes I had made, other than the ccs I altered was still as I had changed it. I read about moving the database files over to the new db as well, so I did that too, and now it says cannot connect to ‘localhost’ – like it has carried over the settings as well from my MAMP database/files.

My main question really is what am I doing wrong with the MAMP to live server conversion? Is there anything I am missing. I have checked the wp website and also some others, but I don’t really see anything about this there.

    Thanks
