Malware problem. Anyone know how to block spam comments?

I’m very new to WordPress and Websiting in general. I’ve been hacked. I get a bunch of spam comments every single day and need to know how to block them. I’ve been told I have a malware problem. Any suggestions from the experts would be so appreciated. Thanks much!
