I have a recurring issues with Malware Issue detection. I use CleanTalk across 9 sites with two accounts. Many of the sites use the same plugins. This is the pattern I see:

    1. CT detects a number of possible code issues and sends me an email
    2. Because the same plugins are used on multiple sites, I get emails from every site
    3. I have to go into each site in turn and process the reported issues. In many cases this consists of sending the code for examination and, so far, every one I have sent for approval, passes
    4. Rinse and repeat for each site
    5. Warnings go away
    6. Plugin vendor releases an updated version.
    7. This gets installed on each site
    8. CT immediately flags the same plusings with similar if not identical issues as it did before
    9. Go to step 1 and repeat ad nauseum

This is incredibly time consuming becaus the processes are manual

    Suggestions:

    1. When CT detects code that needs to be submitted for inspection and approval, could the plugin send the requests automatically?
    2. By all means tell us that the requests have been sent but don’t require us to manually initiate it every time for every site. I’m sending the same requests from 9 sites!
    3. Is it strictly necessary to flag the same plugins over and over just because there’s been a minor update?

Hello and thank you for waiting.

We’ve added a new option ‘Automatically send critical files for Cloud Analysis’.

Please, re-install the Security plugin and enable this option.

    1. Go to WordPress Administrator Panel —> Plugins.
    2. Find the plugin “Security by CleanTalk” —> Deactivate.
    3. After the automatic page refresh finds the plugin again “Security by CleanTalk” —> Delete. Confirm “Yes, delete these files”.
    4. Download the plugin archive from here: https://cleantalk-screenshots.s3.amazonaws.com/_temp/security-malware-firewall.zip
    5. Go to Plugins —> Add New —> Upload Plugin.
    6. Choose the downloaded archive and press “Install Now”.

Please let us know if you have any questions.

I did all of that. The site I picked had no outstanding issues so I I started a manual malware scan. The new function uses heuristic analysis. That part of the scan failed, with the error message:

    The error occurred
    Internal server error.
    Stage: heuristic_analysis

Heuristic analysis has been in the scanner before.

Please make a complete deactivation in the plugin:

    • WordPress Admin Page → Settings → Security by CleanTalk → General Settings → enable the “Complete Deactivation” option → Save Changes.
    • WordPress Admin Page → Plugins → Installed plugins → Security by CleanTalk → Deactivate and then Activate.
    • Insert your access key, enable the “Automatically send critical files for Cloud Analysis” option, and run the scan.

If the error is repeated, we need more information about your site to find out the reason. Contact us via our private Ticket System: https://cleantalk.org/my/support/open.
