Wordfence free version doesn’t prevent the attacks
also don’t find the infected files.

from Hoster I know mostly it’s accesson.php in the assests file

what can I do, that Wordfence could desinfect the malware?

  • Hey @eastwestbond,

I’m sorry to hear that you’ve run into this.

Wordfence hardens the websites, but it can’t 100% guarantee that it’ll block all attacks, nor can anything else. This could be new malware, plugins could be compromised, or the server itself could be compromised. Please take a look at our guide on how to clean a hacked site. However, if this infection returns or you aren’t comfortable with this I’d suggest reaching out to a professional hack repair service.

    https://www.wordfence.com/docs/how-to-clean-a-hacked-wordpress-site-using-wordfence/

Also, I’d immediately update all passwords including WordPress, database, sFTP/hosting, and the hosting control panel.

    Thanks,

    Gerroald

Please feel free to open another thread if you’re still having issues with Wordfence.

    Thanks,
