• Dear,

I installed the plugin an hour ago and suddenly Wordfence is hot. It prompts me with 21 files being infected, all related to the Yop Poll plugin. Here’s one of those messages: Screenshot

When trying to locate the issues I find this:
    data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlh3AATAPQeAPDy-SNIP -",msg:null,msgText:"

I came across this article: https://digitalreadymarketing.com/yop-poll-wordpress-plugin-base64/ which does make me scared having the plugin installed.

Could you explain what’s going on here and why there’re images being coded with base64.

    Thanks,
    Jordy

You really should do some research before posting a topic titled “Malicious Files”. I’ve edited the topic title as your title is misleading.

There is nothing to be concerned about. The plugin author made a choice to inline that GIF.
