Hi! I have a problem at several web sites with wordfence last automatic update (7.9.2)

I got this error on the home page wordfence widget:

Warning: require(/home/<my_site>/wp-content/plugins/wordfence/views/reports/../../lib/flags.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/<my_site>/wp-content/plugins/wordfence/views/reports/activity-report.php on line 24

Fatal error: require(): Failed opening required '/home/<my_site>/wp-content/plugins/wordfence/views/reports/../../lib/flags.php' (include_path='.') in /home/<my_site>/wp-content/plugins/wordfence/views/reports/activity-report.php on line 24
There has been a critical error on this website.

Then I receive an email from my hosting company that the file ‘wp-content/plugins/wordfence/lib/flags.php’ was put it in quarantine because it was a malicious file.

    What can I do?

    Greetings from Chile!

    Hi @jpastrian,

Thank you for reaching out to us and bringing this to our attention. I’m glad your host was able to help you resolve the issue.

If the infected file still exists, please send a sample of the infected file to our team at [email protected] so that our team can look into it and determine why Wordfence didn’t pick it up. It would be nice to have the file checked out by our team. In your email, please include a link to this forum topic so that our team will know you had raised the issue with us.

If the file has now been removed and you have no issues currently, get back to us in case it recurs.

    Thanks,

    Janet
