    Hi there,
I was wondering if you could help please.
I’m enjoying the use of ‘Easy Table’ very much but today after a Wordfence malware scan of my site the easy-table.php file was flagged because it might have contained malicious executable code.
The scan report says: ‘This file is a PHP executable file and contains a line 2574 characters long without spaces that may be encoded data along with functions that may be used to execute that code. If you know about this file you can choose to ignore it to exclude it from future scans.’
I checked the file and it looks that those 2574 characters belong to a PayPal function.
Is this something I should worry about?
Do I need to take any action?
    Please help.
    Regards,
    Eugene

  • I’ve just downloaded the plugin and checked the easy-table.php file. Yes – that’s just a Paypal donation form. It’s perfectly OK.

    esmi,

    You AGAIN!

Many thanks for going through the trouble of checking for me, it’s most appreciated.

I thought it would be OK but since I also got a few PayPal buttons but don’t have such a long sting I thought I would ask.

No problem. Glad I could help ??

Some people use plain text paypal donation forms. Others prefer encrypted secure forms. That latter is what is creating that 2574 character string that your security plugin is warning about.

    esmi,

Thanks for the extra details, maybe I should look into encrypted secure forms myself.

Yeah, it just a PayPal button code.
But I would consider this issue.

    Thanks.
