    Hi guys,

    I hope that you can help me figure out how to fix the various issues I am having after having updated to WP 4.6:
    – In a New Post, the Add Media button is not responding
    – In a New Post, the Featured Image button is not responding
    – In a New Post, once I am trying to link 2 posts in 2 different languages, it is not working.I am using the Polylang plugin.

    My site is: expatbug.com

    Could you please let me know what I need to do. I have cleared my cache and cookies, logged out of WP.org, restarted my computer, then logged back in. All of my plugins and themes are up-to-date.

    Hope you’ll manage to help me out. Thank you in advance.

    I found this about the JQUERY bug

    JQMIGRATE: ‘ready’ event is deprecated

    Cause: Using one of jQuery’s API methods to bind a “ready” event, e.g. $( document ).on( “ready”, fn ), will cause the function to be called when the document is ready, but only if it is attached before the browser fires its own DOMContentLoaded event. That makes it unreliable for many uses, particularly ones where jQuery or its plugins are loaded asynchronously after page load.

    Solution: Replace any use of $( document ).on( “ready”, fn ) with $( document ).ready( fn ) or more simply, just $( fn ). These alternative methods work reliably even when the document is already loaded.

    I see that you are using some heavy duty caching, and I’m wondering if it’s affecting things.

    What I would do first, is clear the cache via the cache plugins you are using (they should have options for this), and then make sure you clear your own browsers cache as well afterwards (you can find guides on doing this properly for your browser at https://www.refreshyourcache.com/)

    Exactly the same problem here. On Chrome and Firefox too ??
    Can’t upload media on a post o page after update to 4.6

    Here you have more information if it can help…

    ON LOAD:

    Chrome console, when I’m on a post or page says “Uncaught TypeError: (intermediate value)(intermediate value) is not a function” on this call:

    And this “Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property ‘hasClass’ of undefined” on this call:

    All good now. I was a theme update issue! ??

    Hello All,

    I’m still being plagued by this. Just like others, I cannot “Add Media” to any of my pages on any of my WordPress sites!

    I’ve tested this on clean WordPress installs, on older WordPress versions, with and without plugins, with different themes, on different websites, in three different browsers, checked my file permissions, htaccess, searched the online blogs.

    It’s a weird thing- I can add photos to the Medial Library, insert photo galleries into WordPress pages, but just can’t add single photos to pages. I would have assumed WordPress pushed a bad update, but the same problem exists in WordPress 4.7.3 *and* WordPress 4.6.4. I even tested in IE 11.

    What’s the best way forward with this?

    I created a test site on WordPress.COM and *they* don’t have any problems with adding media to pages. So what’s going on?

    Also, the recommendation on this forum to add…
    define(‘CONCATENATE_SCRIPTS’, true );
    define(‘SCRIPT_DEBUG’, true);
    …to wp-config.php didn’t work.

    Okay,

    I’ll answer my own question. This conflict was server-side, and was caused in this case by having enabled OWASP ModSecurity Core Rule Set V3.0. Apparently some rules need tweaked.

    Not sure which one’s, so I’ve contacted OWASP. (If anyone has already dealt with this, advice is welcome.)

    the only thing that worked for me was following this instructions https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fOVWdHyxiSU
    i’m with wordpress 4.8
    regards
    Daniel
