Making website compatible with IE (and other non Chrome browsers)
-
Hi,
I recently built a site for my company (www.thesurpriseconcierge.com) and used Chrome as a reference when building it as this is the browser I use on my Mac.
It came to my attention once I launched the site last week that it looked different on Internet Explorer (e.g. rather than the search box being in line with the navigation bar its randomly next to the logo and the icons I have on the bottom of the homepage that all sit in one row in Chrome now run across 2 rows and look messy).
Following being told this I checked the site in Safari and had the same issue as that listed above. Is there a way I can fix this?? I used a theme rather than building the site from scratch so have limited coding knowledge and would have assumed that the theme was built to work cross-browser (especially as it was a premium theme).
Any way you can help at all would be MUCH appreciated as given my target market for my business are city workers there will be a lot of people accessing the site from work machines and these are predominantly IE rather than Chrome.
I just ideally need some code that will allow the website to resize based on the browser! Thanks and Merry Christmas!
