    Hi

I am trying to make a table with two columns and around 15 rows and would like to make the “table header” up the left side (but keeping the information horizontal).

For an example of the style of header/table I am hoping to achieve, please see this link:

Thank you very much for any help!

    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble as well as for the late reply. I’ve been on holidays and therefore couldn’t reply earlier.

For this, the best way is to not use the table header checkbox, but to simply create it as a (new) first column and then style it with CSS.

    Regards,
    Tobias

Thanks very much Tobias, I hope you had a good holiday.

I had figured out that I could do the layout by not ticking the table header checkbox… But the table retains its search functionality for the rows instead of the columns. Do you know of any way around that so the search box works with the now vertical data?

By the way, sorry for the double post… I submitted the first one before I found the Tablepress support section.

I want you to know that I really appreciate all you do for Tablepress and it’s users. Very generous of you to dedicate so much time. I “Bought you a coffee” as you say some time ago. I will be donating again.

    Kind regards

    Hi,

ah, I see. Unfortunately, I’m not aware of a fully-satisfying solution to this. “Flipping” the table so that rows are now sorted is not that easy. The TablePress Extension from https://tablepress.org/extensions/responsive-tables/ (with its “flip” mode) can do it, but only on non-IE browsers.

And thanks again for the donation, I really appreciate it!

    Regards,
    Tobias
