Making the fields disappear when the form is sent

Hey folks, Is there anyway of making all the field disappear so only the ‘thanks for your message’ box shows, as it’s a bit confusing as you need to scroll back up the page after clicking send to see that it has actually been submitted successfully. Also, is there any way to remove the ‘required’ text and maybe insert an asterisk instead? thanks in advance ??
