Okay, so I upgraded to 2.6.1 yesterday and today I’m writing a blog entry and including an image. WordPress “fixed” the insertion of images and I’m not sure the “fix” was worth it. I cannot, no matter what I do in the interface, get the text to wrap around the image. There is plenty of room on the left of the image, and I’ve clicked on “align right” but the text just does not wrap around the image. What is the fix for this? It’s darned annoying, since 2.5 worked just fine in this regard.

Here is the html text that the dashboard inserted into my entry (which I won’t publish until this gets resolved):

[caption id="" align="alignright" width="367" caption="The LSST Mirror Blank fresh out of the mirror"]<img src=”https://www.lsst.org/Gallery/photos/LSST08-image-half.jpg” alt=”The LSST Mirror Blank fresh out of the mirror” width=”367″ height=”302″ />[/caption]

The text color is the “color:” under .wp-caption p.wp-caption-text.

The colors of the border are under the .wp-caption, in the 1 pixel border and in the background color of that area.

So it is…I was changing the wrong attributes there, but got them.

THANK you for all your help.

My question is similar to ccpetersen’s regarding the image captioning. I’ve inserted the above CSS code and styled it to my likings, but when I try to put two captioned images next to each other in a post, it won’t do it – and what I mean by that is it automatically creates a line break.

Is there really no way to place two captioned images next to each other in a post?

Also, it works fine and I can get the images next to each other without captions. I suppose an alternative would be to use [gallery], but I really like the current styling of my captions, and would prefer to have a few captioned images in a row (that resembles a row of a gallery).

My question is also similar to ccpetersen’s regarding getting text to wrap with images — with or without captioning.

I appreciate your answers above. However I am not comfortable editing CSS code, especially because my site doesn’t use the standard WP template, and I don’t see where to insert the code changes you give above.

Can you help me out? Here’s the page: https://innervisionportraits.com/wp-admin/page.php?action=edit&post=328&message=4

    Thanks in advance!
