Making sidebar image a link makes everything on page the link

    I have put many variations on the 3 column black theme, which itself is based on kubrik. my problem are many, but I wanted to focud on this: I put a large image in what was the black left column. putting it there was of course no problem. but when i decided to make the image clickable, something happened. The image works as the link (to another page on the site) BUT when you hover over the rest of the page, everything becomes underlined (even items that have a text-decoration of none for a hover) and what’s worse, when you click on anything else on the page, it goes to the designated link for the image in that left sidebar.

    HTML basics 101. You probably didn’t close the anchor (a) tag.

    Thanks, and i never said I was a genius–note the “my problems are many” in the original post. I put in the anchor and it solved the problem of the rest of the page being clickable, and in fact the other links on the page now link to the right things, BUT when I hover over the rest of the page, everything still becomes underlined. Any ideas?

    (and you don’t need to be a genius to learn the html basics)

    Sorry for the delay in getting back to you guys who are kind enough to help out with a relative newby, who is still spending much time flipping from the backside of my site and w3schools tutorials and checking the forums, trying to get less and less in over my head, and all the while aspiring to be a genius after all…

    Find and fix these errors, locating them shouldn’t be too hard really…I usually just view source of the page and “go to line” for the number they say the errors are at..then find accordingly throughout either the template or posts or whatever..

    Only 6 Errors!

    Which I was expecting maybe more then that..though. Just as moshu said, I’m not having any problems with your site in FF or IE6, with that underline problem.. =)

    Thanks again everyone and as I’m platooning from an NT and a powerbook, I too saw that in firefox the issue is gone…it’s not in safari on my powerbook, so it may be a safari issue. as far as 6 errors–for me at this point in my brief wp carrer–6 is magnificent! I will continue to rummage the errors and see what I can fix or break next…
