Making New theme And Front Page is not Blog Page

Hi, I am developing a new theme and i want to make the Main page a page with slider and all and move the blog to another page. The thing is i don’t wanna make the Main page from the reading panel as it is going to be sold and that is inconvenient. I have used themes where the main page is slider and the blog can be shift only by choosing in reading blog page and choosing one. How do i achieve this and in which file do i put THE LOOP pls a detailed answer is appreciated !
