Making more widget spaces [Theme: TwentyTwelve]

    Hey everyone!

    First of all I am wondering how to make more widget spaces in the sidebar on my site. Apparently they only give you one space if you are not using a static homepage, and I have the one space used for my search.

    NOTE: I do not have a child theme because this installation of WordPress will be deleted soon anyways. Please do not tell me I need a child theme, I just want to make sure I can do what I need to later on when I have a new install.
