Our forum is set up to be completely private, such that the public cannot see the forum and members need to log in to view it. This is easy to do for the forum categories themselves as there are settings for that, but I just realized that from the Forum menu bar for ‘Members” and “Recent Post” these aspects are completely viewable without login in.

Can you help me makes these hidden unless logged in?

Update – I was able to hide the content of ‘recent posts’ by setting each and every subcategory to ‘guests-no access’, but the members list is still wide open for view. This shouldn’t be available to the public at all under any circumstances. How can that be hidden.

    Another privacy issue.

I’m using wpForo Online Members widget on the forum sidebar. Even when logged out the members online can be viewed by anyone, and when scrolling over the avatar their name is displayed.

I have Admin, Moderator, Registered selected on the widget, but don’t want any displayed if not logged in.

    Hi @fireflywebs

The “wpForo Online Members” widget has a multiselect box field with user groups. If you check the boxes for admin, registered, and moderator, you confirm that you want to show the online status only for users in the selected groups. For example, if you select only admin, moderator, and registered, it means that if a user is an admin, moderator, or registered member and is online, the entire website will see that this user is online. If you uncheck “admin” from the widget settings, the website will no longer display the online status of any admin users.
