Making Feature Boxes Link to Pages & Child theme

    Hello everyone, I am super new. I want to make “feature boxes” (the little pictures on the front page at the bottom-there are 2 rows) and make those photos link to another page. I’ve read through all the posted topics regarding this and my problem is, I do not understand tech language yet and I have no clue as to where you are all stating this “code” .. html? … is supposed to be typed in or how to get to it and not sure if the same ‘code’ works for each picture or feature box.

    Also I did some further reading under the topic Child Theme and I’ve read the link the support team suggested to the person posting and my problem again is I do not know how to get to the “directory” I’ve googled my questions also but the only help I can find just refers me back to these threads. I really appreciate all your help with my questions.

    Oh and I downloaded CSS-JS-PHP

    And, I have tried entering in the Java Script given as an answer by another member from another thread,

    This is the thing … I LITERALLY .. have no idea at all how to do this. Now, I did go into my Media Library and found the photo that I’m using for that particular feature box and it has a button there saying I can link it to content I’ve already created but .. that doesn’t work either and … the only pages i can choose are the ones i make public and I don’t want the page to show up anywhere until someone clicks on the feature box. So I’m at a total loss, for real because I don’t know any of this html, java script, css, php and any other code so I really need step by step directions of where to go, how to get there, what to enter in and if I need to change anything when I set up the next feature box, etc.

    I need the same help in linking my photo or copy to other pages. I’m not swift with editing code etc. Thanks in advance.
