making adjustments to widgets

Hi Mark,

Widget padding can be altered with this CSS:

.separate-containers .widget-area .widget {padding: 40px;}

Or this CSS if you’re using one container:

.one-container .widget-area .widget {padding: 40px;}

What exactly do you want to do to the container text?

We have addons that allow you to do both of these things, but I’m happy to provide specific CSS if you let me know what you’re trying to do.

I may not be asking the question correctly.

The problem I’m having is the pic does not fully fill the sidebar.
There is a considerable border around it.

Hi Mark,

If you have the Spacing addon you can adjust the inner spacing of the widgets.

If not, you can use the code above to adjust the spacing inside the widgets.

Something like this should work:

.separate-containers .widget-area .widget {padding: 40px;}

Then you can adjust the 40px to your liking.

Should I be using GeneratePress or Forefront

You can use either as Forefront is a child theme of GeneratePress – all options will work with both themes.
