Making a simple template

  • Hi world.
    I am new at wp so please don;t hit to hard.

    I am trying to create a simple theme (modify an existent one).
    WHat do i need:

    I need the post to be on the first page complete.
    No date,author edit showned (how do i remove that?)
    Only the nr of comments.
    And once you click the nr of comments (text over a jpg) you are directed to see all the comments.

    Now how do i do that?

    That is ok. I found all the answers i needed studying the code.

    If anyone is interested: index single and page.php are the structure of your site. All you need to do is identify the php structure that call the_title The_date the_comments and remove, edit them.
