• Hello,

I need to make one of my parent menu items un-clickable. I have read many posts from others saying to create a custom menu item and use a hash (#) in the URL.

This does work fine, however a while ago I stumbled upon another way of doing it that inserted something else into the URL box that is not a hash but for the life of me can’t remember what that was.

Can someone help me out? How do I make a parent menu item non clickable using the custom menu without inserting a # into the URL?

    Thanks!

  • Is there any specific reason why you can’t use the # hash?

I don’t like how it appears on the webpage. When you hover over the menu item you still get the select hand like you should be able to click on it (even though you can’t) and you still see a URL with /# at the end.

The other way (the one I can’t remember how to do) when you hover over the menu item you see a cursor instead of a hand and there is no URL associated with it.
