making a link shorter

  • somehow when I edit a comment with long links the link is changed by WordPress. check for example this post:
    https://melodiefabriek.nl/2006/06/28/the-clipped-bits/#comments

    as you can see the link is too long for the content. how can I make this shorter? if I edit the comment and create something like this, WordPress automatically changes it to something which doesn’t work, I want for example this:
    link

    but WordPress doesn’t allow me to change the comment like that. is it a bug? in a post this does work!
