Make Website Changes Without Users Knowing

  • hello. i want to make some redesigns to my website but i don’t want my viewers to see these changes before i fully complete them. is there any plugin that will allow me to make changes without my viewers seeing them?

  • Are the changes many and in a lot of different places, moving things changing styles etc. I would suggest doing it on a development version from a backup of your site.

    If its only a page or post template, you could make a copy of the template file and renname it. The create a copy of a psge or post in WP and assign that nre page to the test template file..

    Make a copy of your theme and install the Theme Test Drive plugin, switching your admin account to the copied theme. Then work on that.

    To be honest, you’re probably better installing WordPress locally on a Dev server and making changes to that before deploying to your live site.
