    Hi, we no longer plan to use this account. Since it can’t be deleted, can you please make it read-only so it cannot post in the forums? I know it’s possible. Thank you.

    No, that’s not what needs doing. If you do not want to use this account then just stop using it.

    This is the only post you’ve made and we won’t change your account but you can self-service that yourself permanently.

    In the middle of that page is “Retention of personal information” and within that is a link to request a data erasure. I’m not linking that directly because I want you and anyone else finding this topic to understand.

    Once you’ve made a data erasure request and it has been implemented then your account ID will be replaced with something like anonymized-123456. You will be unable to re-use that account’s email on this site.
