• Hi,

I have a sub domains wp mu install with the domain mapping plugin. Unfortunately I discovered that this plugin is not compatible with domain mapping (users get disconnected each time they go from the admin to the frontend).

In read on this thread that this is because:

Duo forces two-factor on these types of logins to prevent a situation where users could bypass two-factor by signing into a subdomain which does not have the two-factor plugin enabled

But in my case Duo is network wide activated so all the other subdomains and domains users are required to use 2 factor.

I think you should allow the network admin to disable the “domain validation” a simple checkbox with a nice warning message when duo is network wide activated especially when it’s activated for all roles or give us an option to bypass this by adding a few lines of code to the sunrise.php. If wordpress can handle crossdomains/sub-domains sessions I really don’t see why you couldn’t.

Because right now I have no 2 factor authentication on my site and I know for a fact that WordPress network installs are more and more popular among the wp community.
