    Hello,

Is it possible to make a tab click through to an external page or website?

Tabby code is used like this on my website

    [tabby title=”Accommodation”]

The name you have in the code then creates a tab called the name, so for example the above one is accommodation.

I now have a page with a tab, but i dont want the page just the tab and I would like it so if a customer clicks on the tab named accommodation they would be directed to an alternative website or page of my choice.

    Is that possible?

    Many Thanks

    Aaron

No sorry, this is not something the plugin was designed to do.

I must admit I am struggling to understand the advantage of doing what you suggest as the whole point of the tabs is to provide a way of viewing the content associated with each tab.

If you wanted a list of links formatted like tabs all you need is the list of links and some css to provided the formatting – not this plugin.

I understand what you are saying as i need the plugin how you describe it. Basically my website is for Hotel, restaurants and spas.

Every venue onsite has its own venue page, this is where tabby comes into play. There are 6 tabs which provide information – Venue Info, Privileges, Spa Packages, Afternoon Tea, Dining, Accommodation.

the first 4 all have content on the tabs (packages to book) The last two i would rather for customers to just click on the tab and be whisked away to the venues own site.

Oh, I see. I’m not sure that this plan would be best from a usability point of view as the behaviour is not the same for all of the tabs. I am afraid it is not a feature that I would want to add to the plugin as standard.

Creating a customised version of the plugin to support this would not be a big job, however it would be beyond the level of free support I can provide here.
