    Hi,
My image for my slider looks bad on a wide screen monitor because the full width slider stretches the image and cuts off the bottom of the image. I changed the setting to “no” under full width slider but it is still showing as full width. Could it be it just takes time to take effect? I’ve refreshed the page many times…still stretches all the way across.

    Thanks.

  • Full-width sliders have to be a compromise and the price I choose to pay is that I create an image which still looks good even if it gets cropped slightly. In your image, the scene still looks fine but you lose the bottom logo at extreme screen widths. So one option would be to re-position your logos so that they avoid the chop.

As for changing the slider from full-width to framed, the only answer I can offer is that maybe you forgot to save/update your page after changing the setting. If that’s not it, try deleting the slider and creating a new one.

Thanks. What I really wanted to do was just see what the Non-full width slider would look like. After reading your answer I just made a new slider from the same image that I named something else and added to a new page. Didn’t look the way I hoped. So I did what you suggested and created an image that looks ok on both screens. Thanks for you help! Let me know what you think!

    Works for me! Problem solved?

Imho, a photo as dramatic as that (which course is it?) is crying out for the full width.

Yes! Thanks, it is a cool shot. I don’t know what course it is. A photographer friend of mine donated it to the cause! I’ll mark it as resolved…I didn’t know we were supposed to do that! Thanks again.
