Make slider appear less wonky on load?

I have a client on whose site I recently implemented the Slide Anywhere plugin in order to make some carousel feeds. They say that the feed is too “glitchy” though, which I chalk up to the fact that we’re deferring JS on the site for performance reasons.

Is there a solution to make the slider load onto a page more smoothly? Perhaps preloading the owl script(s)?
