• hey, I”m new to wordpress. so far so good (kinda)
the problem I’m having is I only want one post per page.
    eg.
On my home page (www.peteandperry.com) at the moment it
will list all the posts I’ve done, (post, comments, post, comments)
wich gets very cluttery very fast.

I want to only have one post per page, and I’ll add links (buttons)
at the top & bottom of the page where people can see one post, comment, and click the next button to read the next (or previus) post.

but my question is this, how do I only have one post per page?

p.s. (I searched, but I couldn’t find the answer, probably becouse I’m not to familiar with the lingo :s

    Thank you.

  • Try visiting yoursite.com/wp-admin/options-reading.php
and set the value as shown here: https://screencast.com/t/O28p5yvYNM

From the admin panel, navigate to >>Setting >>Reading

In the reading tab, near the top, you’ll see “On home page show…”

There is a box with a number in it, by default it is 10, you may change it to 1 and only one post will display on your homepage.

Ok, I’m having the same problem. I did what scattered said, but it just wants to show the most recent page I made now, and not the one that’s supposed to be the front page. How do I fix this?

scattered810 – Thank you! worked perfectly!

Rajesh Soni – didn’t get round to trying that, but thank you!

rhyannelise – with a little bit of playing, on that same menue (settings > Reading )

there are 2 drop down menue’s
Front page > This will be what shows up on your home page.
Posts page > not sure, but i guess this will be what it considers “most relevent post” or something. I’m still playing.

You can set your front page to display a STATIC page, it is inside of those “reading” settings.
