Make Name and Email Fields Optional – Donations

    Hi
    I have set up this plugin with the donation option being selected for the product.
    However, on testing, the name and email fields are mandatory and I would like these to be optional (or not required at all). Since this is a donation and no service/goods are being provided they shouldn’t be necessary, right? Perhaps the name field is required for card verification. I can live with that but not the email field as I want to make this as frictionless as possible.
    I’d alos like to get an email notification if there is a payment or error but in settings it tells me not to delete this:

    {product_details}

    And it is… {payer_email}

    Cant’s I just get a notitification without the payer email?

    No, that cannot be done with our plugin.. A credit card transaction via Stripe needs the name and email address.

    Ok thank you. I don’t see the need for the email address as it’s not required for card verification and it causes unnecessary friction. Perhaps the name is required for verification which is fine.
    Another issue for the developers is that there doesn’t seem to be a “suggested amount” option for donations. e.g €5, €10, €20, enter amount. At least I can’t see one. This is an important driver for donations.
