Make more responsive Header Area

  • The site is https://www.hylandartmouth.com. I took over developing from someone who left. I got it pretty far along from where it was but I’m stuck at these final things.

    The site doesn’t need much, but there are two features I’d like to incorporate that are over my head.

    1.The original developer overrode the header with a custom code. It makes the site very unresponsive. What I’d like to do is remove that code, have a clean small logo and a weather and contact widget in the header area. I have the plugin for the weather widget ready to install there once I know how to position it, and the contact code is easy.

    2. I’d like to convert the banners that are currently there into a slider that I will put similar photos that are currently headers that will flash on each page. I want the slider to fit between the Primary Navigation Menu and the content/sidebar.

    Okay, I managed to remove the custom header. Now all that’s left is positioning logo and widget, and of course adding the responsive genesis slider
