For practically every blog post I use Creative Commons pictures. At the moment, I have to enter the name and link to the license again every time.

For me it would be really useful if in the plugin’s settings I could create limited set of licenses, which I could pick in a dropdown in the ‘media library’.

Maybe some people would require a ‘custom’ entry in the dropdown, so they would still be able to enter one-time details.

Additional bonus would be to add an extra field:
    – Licence
    – Licence link
    Dropdown name

Reason: In my blogpost I would like to leave out the Creative Commons version number ’cause it looks ugly, but I would like to differentiate between versions in the licence link and be able to differentiate between them in the dropdown.

PS. Thanks for taking care of and updating this plugin, should be included in the WordPress base IMHO! ??

nice idea, I am thinking more about something that would work like post tags, where when you start to enter the license name the system gives a dropdown of the licenses you already entered

Ah, that’s probably easier for the user. But for it to work with multiple licences (versions) with the same display name, it would be necessary to somehow also immediately see the beginning & end of the link that is attached (if you get what I mean). Dunno how easy that is to accomplish.
