• wow. so good! this should be in core!

    seriously… i don’t get why this editor was replaced with gutenberg while the community is clearly oposed it. I don’t think this is the right way for open source software to evolve.

    The idea (I guess) is that WordPress is losing ground to platforms block-based like Wix and similar crap. You know, people are lazy or can’t “waste” time learning how to use a simple CMS editor, that is not NASA technology. “Oh but but the editor is a mess, it’s ugly, it brakes my code, it this, it that”. Oh, lord…

    Instead of improving the editor, the community (don’t count on me) decides it’s better to throw away a tool used by millions of people, developed over decades, to reinvent the f*c*i*g wheel… The only thing I ask now is a fork without Gutenberg, since developers are too high to listen us, the poor ignorants reactionaries who don’t know what are saying…
