Either I have tomatoes on my eyes or I just can’t find the setting.
I just posted something in our forum to explain this great picture gallery.

    https://www.chopper-motorrad.de/cf/thema/neue-bildergalerie/?part=1#postid-21398

There I uploaded an image directly via the camera in the editor menu.

Unfortunately, it is also displayed to guests.

I have no problem with this picture itself, but for data protection reasons I would actually like that only logged-in users can see the pictures.

Is there a setting for this?

Set the status of the photo to ‘privat’.

You can set the status also for all new images to ‘privat’ on Advanced settings -> Neu -> Item 38: Foto Status Standard setze den Status neuer Fotos auf

I did that, uploaded a photo and I still see the picture when I’m logged out.

I’ve also tried this with other browsers to avoid having a cache problem.

In the backend the image status is “Private”

This works only for items in a thumbnail list or a slideshow.
If you explicitly ask for a photo (any single photo display) it will show up.
In tis case you should protect the post or page against non loggedin visistors.

Ok, then I’ve been informed and will point this out to the users.
    Thank you very much…

A selection box directly in the upload window, whether public or not, would be an option.

This would only be possible for users who have the rights to change status.
To avoid bypassing the need for moderation.
So, if for admin only, i can add the status selbox on the fe upload box

Since I already thought that it would be an enormous effort for you for all users, I wrote to our users that if pictures should not be made public, they should post them in the protected area.

Thank you anyway for the effort you always make for all users of your plugin.

    On the settings page:
Advanced settings -> Admin -> II: Frontend create Albums and upload Photos enabling and limiting settings -> Item 12: FE Upload private you can tick the box to set the frontend uploads to private.

The next version will have a selectionbox for admin and moderators only to select a status that will overrule the defaults
