Make header smaller for all pages but home

    I would like to make the header smaller for my left side bar page. I like how large it is on the home page, but would like to decrease it by almost half on the other pages. What would be my best way of doing that?

  • You have a couple choices, but might want to try this:

    Use the WP Header (under the Appearance menu to load your image on the front page only (with the curve). Then create a smaller height version of the image, upload it to your media library, then use a widget to load it via html <img src…> published in the Page Banner widget position. To control what pages to show this one on, use a plugin like Display Widgets, or if you use Jetpack, it has it’s own Widget Visibility feature that does the same. This way you can have a different image, even different heights on different pages.
