Make gallery thumbs link to large image instead of full size image

    Is it possible to make the gallery thumbs link to the large size image instead of the full size image? I found a few functions which work in older versions of WP, but don’t work since the 3.5 upgrade.

    I have 30+ editors on a blog and it’s just easier to have them upload the full image and have WordPress resize them. But I don’t want to serve up a 3000+px wide image for visitors – I’d rather the gallery linked to the 1024px wide “large” setting I have set in the media settings.
