• Hi,

After trawling through plugins, sites and forums and to no avail to my disbelief, i believe this forum is the last option for a, what i think, must be shockingly common problem.
My site has sensitive files uploaded for logged in users to have access to on downloads pages. Despite this, the URL of the download can be seen and copied and then simply used to download the file directly from anywhere.

Surely there’s a solution for this by now? I know this question has been asked before, albeit 5+ years ago so i was hoping there would be a solution by now. I’ve tried a LOT of plug ins but none seem to do the job.

Ideally i want a system that would only allow access to the files in wp-content/uploads from a specific referrer, to control access to the files, as customers are only MEANT to be able to access these downloads once logged in and only from my site itself.

Many thanks in advance for suggestions.
