    Hello,

I’d like to make the table header of event lists translatable. Currently the table header is inserted in the settings, which does only allow HTML and no PHP (afaik).

What would be the best approach to achieve this?
Can I replace the whole dbem_event_list_item_format_header somehow (in my child themes functions.php)?

I’m using Polylang to translate my child theme.
    Many thanks!

  • You could try to achieve it with gettext, but EM has been optimized for WPML. The lead developer of EM even wrote an add-on for EM and WPML.

    Thanks Patrick,

I know EM is (largely) optimized for WPML but this table header would be the only thing I would need WPML for (btw I meant Loco Translate in this case)… ??
I couldn’t figure it out how to deal with gettext, also putting it in a shortcode did work only in parts (the shortcode straingly works fine only for the first table on a page, but I have a second events table on the main events page where just the shortcode-code is displayed…).
So I guess I’ll just leave the table header empty/away.

    Thank you anyway!!
