Make deep pages have shorter URLs?
-
I would like my LONG URLs for the pages I have that are 7 layers deep to be shorter. I’ve looked all around, but I can only get results for plugins and none of them seem to do what I want.
The site is set up so that each page has a parent page above it and a child page below it (ie – siloed) So in the URL below, a link to roanoke is at the bottom of the riner page. A link to shawsville is at the bottom of the roanoke page. A link to the home page is located at the bottom of the shawsville page. It all goes in a straight line, down to the bottom. Page 1 ONLY links to Page 2 – Page 2 to Page 3 – and so on. And these are individual pages, not posts.
Here’s an example of what I’m trying to achieve –

https://mydomain.com/montgomery-county-shawsville/I looked into the settings->permalinks area, but I simply must be too thick to understand how to properly set this up. I even followed the links to the WP site that tried to explain it…just confused me further.
Sorry if this was too long. I was just trying to include as much information as I could.
Here’s a screen shot of the top of the shawsville page in WP. https://prntscr.com/3x9nsl
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks!
Jeff
