    Hi everybody,
I am building my website with Blocksy theme and I would like to highlight “latest posts” list items with bold font when the related page is displayed, adding a css.

Thanks in advance for your help!

  • Hello @masssi

Unfortunately, it is a bit hard to give you a custom CSS snippet without any proper content on your website. Please try to populate your website with some content, then I’ll try to provide something.

    Thanks.

    Hello @cteduard,
here I am. I entered some content and now the site is more or less what I expected.
The info I asked is for the sidebar in this page:

    Thanks again

    Hello @masssi

Hmm… ok, so the page layout looks correct inside the DOM. The sidebar is active. Now, all you have to do is insert the relevant widgets into it, by going to the Appearance -> Widgets section, and adding anything you might want. From the same pane, you’ll be able to customise the widgets with the styling that you want.

Here’s a short informative video on how the system works like — https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EWXpFHWBx9I

    Hope this helps.
    Thanks.

    Hello Eduard (@cteduard)

    Thank you again,
I have already done what you describe: I put “latest post” widget in but it can not be edited with colors or style.
My question was if in this widget I could change font style for the item related to a displayed page, adding css lines.

    example:

if “In programma” post page is displayed, then the sidebar looks like this:

    In corso
    In programma
    Passate

    Thanks

    @masssi
I think you’re currently using the widget “Recent Posts”. This is one of the standard WordPress widgets that doesn’t add a class like current-post to the entries of the list when one of these is currently displayed.

You should ask WP developers of that plugin to add this useful feature. Or just use a different plugin to display your posts in the sidebar.

    Regards.

    Hello @aldolat
    thank you for the explanation.
My primary issue was to hide sidebar menu items conditionally and automatically by category and the only way I was able to do is with a post list.
Anyway, I will try something else.
Thanks again for your kind help.
    Regards
