Make 'Blog' link active on single post page

  • Hi
    I am creating a child theme.
    When I click ‘Blog’ in my menu, it shows the link as active (orange).
    When I click the title of a blog post to show only that post, no active link is shown in the menu.
    How do I make this active?

    I’ve tried adding CSS to .current-menu-item and current-post-parent but can’t make it happen.
