Make Archive List Only Titles?

I am fairly new to WordPress, or at least I’ve only just started to get into it, and I’m even less familiar with PHP.

What I’d like to know is how I can modify my monthly archive pages to list only the entry’s title and date, instead of showing the latest one of that month in full, and providing links to go backward and forward between posts.

For example, I’d like it to look like this when you click on say, my April archive:

Possibly the Best Idea Ever Conceived | April 27th

First Day on the Job | April 20th
————————————————–

I Figured It Out! | April 19th
————————————————–

It Has Been a While | April 8th
————————————————–

Is there a plugin I can use, or would it just require some code changing? Thanks in advance for those who help.
