• I built a page on my site, and now I’d like now to encourage others to contribute to the conversation. Is it too late to make a blog of meadowcroft-dyeworks.com/dawson/? To tell you the truth, I’m not even entirely sure how to define a blog, so I may not be using the correct word. I don’t want the rest of the website to be affected.

  • Hi, @dyers2. I tried checking your page link but only get a 404 error. I believe you have an SSL problem.

Hi , seems to be you want a blog listing page right ?. You can make a blog listing page by manually creating a page template file inside theme and you need to use the query post function to get the blog posts.

@arlenecarolgrahamI don’t know what SSL problem means in this case, but I don’t get any error. Are you still unable to access the page? This link includes the https://www bit; try it, please?

@sumithsuku11 It’s not a product page of any sort, and there’s nothing for sale on that page. It’s more like a continuing story. I don’t catch the rest of what you’re suggesting, though.

Do you mean you want to switch “comments” on?

Hi, @dyers2. I was able to access your page today. If I understand you correctly you want the About Us/Dawson, Pa section to be your blog.

If you want https://meadowcroft-dyeworks.com/dawson/ to be a blog you must go to your Dashboard then Settings – Reading then set the ‘Posts Page’ to About Us.

Every time you add content to this page, you would hover over Posts then click Add New. Posts are usually one to three items down on the left-hand side of your Dashboard.

I hope this gets you started.

Oh ok so you want a commenting system for the particular page(https://meadowcroft-dyeworks.com/dawson/ ) only right ?

So that visitors can contribute their own opinion/contribution regarding your content of that particular article right?
