Major memory issue with PhpStorm

I use PhpStorm (2018.3.5), yes it is an older version, so not sure if it does it with the newer versions as well.

However, shortly after I installed this plugin PhpStorm started to reindex the files within the project – but it was running out of memory, which was weird as this rarely happens.

I tried numerous things to try and work out what the problem was with no success – even increasing the allowed memory to PhpStorm to 6GB, which really made zero difference – it would get to about 60% and then max out the memory regardless of how much I gave it.

I then remembered this happened around the time I installed this plugin, so I uninstalled it and invalidated PhpStorms caches etc and restarted – no memory issues (maxed out at about 570MB).

To be certain I reinstalled the plugin, and as expected the memory issues came back.

I have reported this to PhpStorm / JetBrains as well, but thought I would let you know.
