I was investigating spam prevention options with my client’s site. When I went to the blacklist page it told me it was located somewhere else. When I went there the site went into a 503. My site is now bugger up because of your plugin. After a few attempts to remove your plugin and getting 503 errors, the site once fast is now extremely slow. Why move this option and not do any testing? Now I have no idea what your plugin changed by just clicking things in your plugin. Has it changed the htaccess file? The site seems to be coming back, but there is something wrong with your plugin and won’t be installing it again. Don’t move things around that can bring down someone’s site.

Now it is stopping other plugins from loading their options like Gravity forms addons. It won’t let it load into the site.

    Hi,

Sorry to hear your having trouble.

A 503 Service Unavailable error indicates the site is potentially overloaded.

To work out the cause of that you should check your PHP error logs.

Moving the blacklist from it’s own admin menu to the Firewall menu has been fully tested, we have also had no complaints about any bugs relating to that (it’s only a link to another page, if it was broken at worst you would get a 404 page).

The .htaccess file is only changed if you are on an Apache server and turned on one of the .htaccess rules under the .htaccess tab in the Firewall menu, or entered custom .htaccess rules in the custom rules section under tools.

As for “Now it is stopping other plugins from loading their options like Gravity forms addons. It won’t let it load into the site.”, theres nothing in the plugin that would do that and we have had no other users report this.

As the next steps I recommend checking your PHP error logs and share them here so we can work out the cause of your problems.

    Best Wishes,

    Ashley
