• Last night wordperss must have installed the new update on our website – now it’s a mess and I can’t access the dashboard anymore.

I managed to uninstall all plugins through the hosting c-panel but I am still getting error messages (different ones on the phone as on the laptop) about the theme (ashe pro) and can’t access the dashboard.

    The error messages are:

Notice: Function is_page was called incorrectly. Conditional query tags do not work before the query is run. Before then, they always return false. Please see Debugging in WordPress for more information. (This message was added in version 3.1.0.) in /home2/kern/Cocreateabetterworld.org/wp-includes/functions.php on line 5835

    multiple times and

    `Notice: Undefined property: MeprOptions::$design_show_login_welcome_image in /home2/kern/Cocreateabetterworld.org/wp-content/plugins/memberpress/app/controllers/MeprBlocksCtrl.php on line 102

    How did you do this?

A lot of error messages on the page point to the memberpress plugin, so it seems that’s still active.

    2) Go to cPanel’s File Manager, open the wp-content folder, and rename the plugins folder.

    2) If you find an mu-plugins folder, rename this folder also.

    3) Also, step into the themes folder, find the folder corresponding to your “Ashe Pro” theme (ashe-pro-premium), and re-name it as well.

Doing the above should deactivate ALL plugins and switch the site to the WordPress default theme (if present), allowing you to log in and troubleshoot and fix the problems.

Thanks George! I will try what you suggest.

I used this advise from hostgator to uninstall the plugins.

Ok, so I was able to log back into the dashboard yesterday. The Theme Ashe Pro Premium – although from wordpress – seems to not work anymore with the new update. The menu is gone and also memberpress seems to create issues – although again, recommended from wordpress to work with.

Right now I am facing the issue that by trying to login again, the page is loading too long and I get a time out. Again I am not able to login or make any changes .

The Theme Ashe Pro Premium – although from wordpress

No, WordPress does not sell or distribute ANY commercial products. So this PRO theme could not have come from WordPress. Not a chance.

WordPress only distributes the free version of this theme, Ashe. I just tested the latest version (2.209, released January 16, 2023) and it works with the latest version of WordPress 6.1.1.

The menu is gone and also memberpress seems to create issues – although again, recommended from wordpress to work with.

I don’t know where you’re getting these things from… but, again, WordPress does not “recommend” any plugins, let alone commercial plugins. Memberpress is a commercial product, and could not have been “recommended” by WordPress.

I’m curious where you saw these “recommendations”.
