• I am running WordPress 1.2.1. I’ve been suffering from the following CSS bug for ages: randomly, the images fail to display on my home page, and the CSS file is not processed at all for the rest of the site (so it displays unformatted – yuk).

As part of what I think is the same problem, when trying to login to WP, I get redirected to a long url ending with ‘/images/images/images/…’ which of course returns a ‘not found’ error.

When I finally do manage to log in, the problem is resolved and all images and css display properly – but it’s sometimes only a few minutes before the site messes up again.

I know that upgrading my WordPress would fix this bug – and when I have time, that’s what I will do. But in the meantime, is there a quick fix to resolve this problem?

    Thanks!

  • Yes it’s a known bug.
Upgrading is essential – all versions below 1.5.2 have security problems.

    I don’t recall the fix..
