• Hi Everyone,

I’m new to wordpress and am currently building a new site. The site is currently in maintenance mode – I can’t remember how I activated maintenance mode but it definitely wasn’t a plugin. I think I edited a script somewhere but I can’t find it anywhere.

Anyway, I want to launch the site now and turn off maintenance mode but I’ve no idea how to. If it’s relevant, the site is hosted on Sitegrounds and also has the ‘Neve’ theme.

    Thanks in advance.

Temporarily disable ALL your plugins, and let’s see if you still have the “Coming Soon” message on the page or not.

I’m suspecting it’s a feature of the Elementor page builder plugin you’re using.

Once you confirm it’s the Elementor plugin, follow this guide to turn it OFF so you can continue to use the plugin (but without the “Coming Soon” feature): https://elementor.com/help/coming-soon-elementor/

To turn off the maintenance mode, you have to delete the maintenance file.

Log in to your site FTP client.
From the Public HTML folder >> Click wp-config.php file.
Search the “.maintenance” file and right-click to delete it.

Thank for the help. You were right, it was via elementor. All I had to do was change the maintenance template to no selection in the drop down list. Couldn’t find the advice anywhere online!
