    Hello everyone,

I have a massive problem, baically I have the launch party of my brand in two days time and I have a maintenance page permanently stuck on my website. I was using the plugin Simple Maintenance Mode by Jeff Bullins to have a ‘coming soon’ page on my site while I re-worked it. When I went to remove the page I couldn’t remember where the plugin was so I stupidly just deleted the plugin thinking that the page would disappear. It did not. I reinstalled and activated the plugin again and I’ve since tried to disable it but it seems the first maintenance page is still over-riding anything else.

I’m starting to panic because my launch party is in two nights time and people are already trying to get onto my site.

Please, any help will be greatly appreciated!

    My site is ThomasFoolery.com.au

    thanks

    Dave

  • Check on the caching on your site?

Try deleting the plugin again (or deactivating) then deactivating your W3 caching plugin – and then clearing your browser’s cache.

There’s also a chance it could be set by your hosting providers, so you may need to contact them.

    Hi Guys,

    Have had a similar problem.

Had simple maintenance mode running while I worked on a site. When I deactivated it is still there.

Interestingly it would seem that it is the old page as I changed the wording to be displayed and I managed to see it on another page other then home.

Have followed the suggestions above with no success. Would appreciate any help you could give as this is a live landing page.

    Actually sorted it out.

For everyone’s information, in my case it wasn’t enough to deactivate the cache plugin, I have to delete it and the files as well to fix the problem.
