    Hello there,

I’ve selected ‘activated’ for the status, but when I go to my page from a different browser, or on my phone, or in an incognito window, it shows my website just as it looks regularly.

I have disabled my ‘cache’ plugins.

I dont know what to do, I’m not a web designer so please be so kind to explain through simple step-by-steps.

    Thank you kindly!
    My site: https://www.BlossomingBride.com

  • Hello @blossomingbride,

If you use W3 Total Cache… you should also try to empty the cache before you disable the plugin.

    Thanks.

Ok, new issue now, and I haven’t done anything different since I posted for help last night.

The ‘coming soon’ has been updated to my blog somehow, THANK YOU! But when I look at the mobile version on my phone, it has this weird A symbol scattered everywhere throughout the announcement message, and the background cuts off half way. I did upload the background to the specific dimensions that were advised.

    Please help, thank you kindly!

    Hello @blossomingbride,

    1. The background is responsive, you can’t display the entire background on all resolutions.
    2. About that “weird A symbol”, I don’t really understand. A screenshot or the URL of the website (with maintenance mode activated) would be helpul.

Later edit: my bad! if you’re talking about https://www.blossomingbride.com/, you have to edit the message and remove that A symbols.

    Thanks.

The URL is https://www.BlossomingBride.com, please help with the mobile version!

As I said, you have to remove that symbols from the message. After each edit… you also have to delete the cache because I see it is activated.

George, thank you for your patience and your help. I have cached again, and also disabled the caching plugin, but the mobile still shows the weird symbols in my message. Those symbols do not appear in the text I typed in under the ‘Design’ tab.

    Please advise.

I’m having the same problem as above, but I don’t have any other plugins activated, I’ve not had a cache plugin before (new setup) but I’ve cleared cache on browser just to be sure and still no joy.

    Any ideas?

    Hello @eventknowledge,

Looks like the Maintenance Mode is activated on https://www.theeventknowledge.co.uk/. Have you checked using an incognito window?

    Thanks.

Must have been because I was logged in… I knew it would be something simple!

    Thanks for quick reply
